  • FF-5 Fuel Computer

    Blaze SmartSingles FF-5

    Blaze AHRS-1 Blaze FF-5
The FF-5 is a 3 1/8” sunlight readable color display instrument intended for efficient monitoring of fuel related information for single or dual fuel tanks. The FF-5 has many display configurations based on single/dual flow senders, single/dual level senders and a fuel pressure sender.
Full functionality is available with a fuel flow and level sender or only with a fuel flow sender using calculated fuel levels based on fuel usage. Differential fuel flow calculations are also supported for fuel return systems. Fuel injector systems are also supported. Standard automotive fuel level senders can be used, even with odd shaped tanks due to a comprehensive, multi-point calibration system. Most fuel flow senders can be used as the K-factor of the sender can be entered into the system for simple calibration.
MGL Avionics supplies a lightweight dual range fuel flow sender that is ideally suited for the FF-5. Fuel flow senders from other manufactures (e.g. Floscan) are equally suitable.
In addition, the FF-5 can use the actual ground speed from a RS232 NMEA enabled GPS receiver to determine fuel range.
The FF-5 can also be interfaced via the CAN bus to an external RDAC unit (Remote Data Acquisition Unit). This allows for easier installation as the RDAC unit is normally mounted in the engine compartment.

      Features:
      • Large 2.6" 320x240 backlit color IPS (viewable in all directions) graphic display
      • Advanced fuel computer with various modes of operation
      • Supports single or dual fuel tanks
      • The FF-5 can connect to one or two fuel flow senders, fuel level senders or fuel injectors
      • The FF-5 can connect to a single fuel pressure sender
      • Differential fuel flow calculations are also supported for fuel return systems
      • The FF-5 has the ability to connect to a NMEA enabled RS232 GPS receiver for range based calculations. It can also accept a manually entered estimate cruising speed if a GPS is not available.
      • Standard automotive fuel level senders can be used, even with odd shaped tanks due to a comprehensive, multi-point calibration system
      • External RDAC interfacing via the CAN bus
      • Standard 3 1/8” aircraft enclosure (can be front or rear mounted)
      • Rotary control plus 2 independent buttons for easy menu navigation and user input

  • TP-4 4 Channel Universal Analog Input (Pressure/Temperature/Current/Volts) Indicator

    Blaze SmartSingles TP-4

    Blaze TP-4 Blaze TP-4
The TP-4 is a 3 1/8” sunlight readable 4 channel universal analog input color display instrument. Each channel can be individually programmed to display either pressure, temperature, current or volts from a universal analog input that can interface to many sensors such as oil temperature, coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel pressure, manifold pressure, boost pressure and many more.
The TP-4 can display any combination of 1 to 4 analog channels in a horizontal / vertical bargraph or a numeric display format.
Pressure can be measured using standard automotive resistive senders (e.g. VDO 2, 5 and 10 Bar), Rotax 4-20mA senders as well as voltage output pressure senders (e.g. UMA). Temperature can be measured using standard automotive resistive senders (e.g. VDO, Westach) as well as the MGL Avionics precision LM335 semiconductor sensor. In addition the temperature, pressure and current inputs can be programmed to a user defined curve for custom senders.
All analog channels have a programmable low and high alarm. This results in a contact closure that is typically used to switch a warning lamp on. The TP-4 also records the minimum and maximum values reached for each channel in permanent memory.
The TP-4 can also be interfaced via the CAN bus to an external RDAC unit (Remote Data Acquisition Computer). This allows for easier installation as the RDAC unit is normally mounted in the engine compartment.

      Features:
      • Large 2.6" 320x240 backlit color IPS (viewable in all directions) graphic display
      • Four universal analog inputs that can be used for pressure / temperature / current or volts
      • Pressure can be measured using standard automotive resistive senders (e.g. VDO 2, 5 and 10Bar), Rotax 4-20mA senders as well as voltage output pressure senders (e.g. UMA)

      • Temperatures can be displayed in ºC or ºF
      • Pressure can be displayed in PSI or BAR
      • Current measurement requires optional active shunt or magnetic current sender.
